TOPIC
▸ In Vitro Blood Vessel Study: from Chip to Finite Element Simulation
❝ The key research outcomes span three major directions: First, we developed a PDMS organ-on-a-chip capable of simultaneously applying cyclic stretch and complex fluid shear stress to observe how vascular cells realign under mechanical stimulation. Second, we successfully established a laser-induced thrombosis-on-a-chip model to evaluate the thrombolytic efficacy of clinical drugs (such as rt-PA) and multi-functional targeted nanocarriers, aligning with the 3R principles of animal research. Lastly, regarding iliac venous compression (ILVC) syndrome, we converted clinical CT scans into 3D models and performed fluid finite element analysis using Ansys, successfully using turbulence mechanics to explain why appositional (kissing) stents reduce thrombosis recurrence rates. ❞
