The Graduate Program of Advanced Energy at National Tsing Hua University has been admitting students since 2010 Academic Year. The Program combines teaching and research resources of College of Engineering, College of Nuclear Science, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, College of Science, College of Life Science, and College of Technology Management. Properly-designed cross-department and cross-college serial courses including but not limited to “Energy-saving Technology,” “Renewable and New Energy Technology,” “Energy Technology and Environmental Impact,” “Energy Economy and Society,” “Energy and Global Change,” “Green Enterprises and Products Management,” “Energy Policy,” and “Energy-related Special Technology” are provided systematically. The Program is designed with the following aims to be prepared for the challenges of the 21st century: (1) to enhance human resources with a “comprehensive and professional” understanding of “energy;” (2) to implement the conclusions of “Vision and Strategies for National Sustainable Development” and “National Science and Technology Conference;” (3) to develop of cross-disciplinary green technology professionals.
